Seven Mountains Strike Teams

Fort Indiantown Gap Exercise & Demonstration

Eight of the nine "EMS Strike Teams" located throughout Seven Mountains EMS Council region participated in an exercise/demonstration at Fort Indiantown Gap on August 12th & 13th.  The demonstration was held in conjunction with the PA State EMS Conference hosted by PEHSC at the Grantville Holiday Inn.  The participating teams include:

Centre:      Bellefonte EMS                                                           
                Centre LifeLink EMS                                                              
                Moshannon Valley EMS
                Mt. Nittany Medical Center Pre-Hospital Services
                Snow Shoe EMS

 Clinton:    Goodwill Hose Co. Ambulance
                Lock Haven EMS

Mifflin:      McVeytown Ambulance

Objectives for the demonstration were:

• Interaction - see what other teams have available

• Organize a base of operations (sleeping/eating)

• Establish an accountability system

• Test the communications system(s)

• Establishment of a command structure
